Teen Challenges
- Journal every night this week and/or take 15 minutes out of each morning to do some yoga or stretching.
- Ask local libraries about their needs and start a book drive.
- Identify a female/non-male role model in your life and have a conversation about them with their experience surrounding gender discrimination. Share out why they’re your role model!
- Time your showers to your favorite tune! Bring your shower time to under 5 minutes and try to use cool water. Share the song!
- Spend an average of 2 hours a day this week using a screen and share a screenshot as proof. For an added challenge, try going the entire day without screens! If/When you want to scroll your newsfeed or check out your instagram/tiktok, try to read 3 pages of your favorite book!
- Research the working conditions for employees of your favorite clothing company. If they are not up to standard, find an alternative!
- Start a hotspot map of public spaces with free wifi/add to existing maps.
- Choose your favorite community spot (park, square, etc.) and organize a clean-up day with friends. Choose a specific type of litter and target only that one for the day. Make sure that you dispose of it properly!
- Share a photo of yourself using your favorite plastic replacement.
- Eat vegetarian or vegan one day a week; encourage your parents to do the same.
- Try going zero-waste for the day! See how many days in a row you can go with no waste.
- Teach about the SDGs to your peers, share about them on social media or create a poster and share it in your school.
- Make an SDG dance! Share your dance on your favorite social media platform.
Please make sure that you stay safe and healthy while completing these challenges! Wear a face mask, follow social distancing guidelines, and make sure to wash your hands often. Don't forget to track your progress throughout this challenge on a sticker board! Have fun and be safe!
